At SynGeni™, we consider that Financial Crisis and Climate Change have the same origin: Fossil Fuels. Our technologies are providing a path to clean and sustainable energy networks that deliver high quality and totally secured energy at a price cheaper than fossil fuel. We call this technology nGeni™.
A path to a radical new approach to Clean Self-Sufficient Energy ...
The aim of our Initiative is to achieve for energy the same kind of complete transformation that happened to communications and computing with the advent of the PC and the Internet:
-
Extremely low cost,
-
100% solar and sustainable,
-
Intelligently networked energy supplies,
-
Generated at or very near the point of use,
-
That match in real time the requirements of each end-user,
-
Wherever they happen to be and whatever their size, from small residential uses to very large industrial concerns.
Development Roadmap
The next step is to build a complete nGeni™ Pilot. This Pilot will be a stationary stand-alone unit and it will run on natural gas. The Pilot process includes Pilot design, component manufacturing, assembly and installation, and testing. Let us stress one more time that all components themselves are proven but it is their integration with one another that is completely novel.
Once the pilot is completely assembled demonstrations of it will follow. This will show proof of concepts and how all of the technologies will work - on small scale. Then the early licensing process will commence.
After the initial Pilot and demonstration process we plan to complete the first solar GreenBox™ with a low cost, parabolic solar heat collector. With a series of reference projects, we can demonstrate the high potential to turn the energy situation around very rapidly - similar to what the Internet did for communication. These processes will show the necessity and attractiveness of the 100% solar nGeni program.
While the Pilot demonstration and reference projects are taking place we will start to develop the nGeni for mobile use. We will start with marine use and eventually move towards automobiles and finally airplanes. Demonstrations of each use will take place leading to distribution of the nGeni to new and older vehicles alike. Based on numerical simulations, we estimate that the nGeni will reduce fuel costs by about 50%.
As distribution of marine applications take place, we will ramp up production of the nS.O. network. The nS.O.™ will enable the stand alone nGeni to wirelessly communicate with one another and with the user. This will help to monitor energy use in real time and allow for real time adjustment. We, at SynGeni call this the Internet of Energy.

Finely Distributed Technology

For so long we have only utilized centralized power grids running on fossil fuels. Recently, we have begun to shift our focus on renewable sources but in the main have retained the centralized model with all its inherent built-in inefficiencies. These industrial scale renewable power plants utilize solar (both concentrated and photovoltaic), wind, tidal power and ocean currents, and geothermal.
Presently there is an increasing focus on distributed conventional and renewable energy at businesses and homes. These distributed forms of providing energy include micro turbines and micro combined heat and power that run on natural gas as well as roof installed photovoltaic panels and small wind turbines.
The next innovation cycle is now including the introduction of micro- and nano-grids. These grids aim to progressively integrate distributed energy systems locally for increase resilience and eventually to integrate them into the centralized power grids. This trend creates smaller energy communities without full reliance on the conventional power grid.
nGeni™ creates the ultimate distributed energy system. Standalone units running on natural gas and biomass with very high efficiency provides the necessary stepping stones to create micro- and nano-grids. The concentrated solar power version with nS.O. integrated will move beyond anything we have seen before. That is, the Internet of Energy!
Product Family
The nGeni GreenBoxes™ will come with a variety of features depending on what energy flows are required at the point of use. This can be compared with what happens with automobile fleets. Many companies' fleets include basic vehicles and top end ones, with some in between. Some models can have certain amenities added to increase performance, fuel efficiency, etc. Similarly, the nGeni GreenBoxes come with a range of optional features and sizes to match closely customer requirements. This is due to their modular character, ease to upgrade, and indifference to fuel type.
Most of the units will produce anywhere from 5kW to 60kW of power for the end user. Simulations show over 55% efficiency in electricity generation and over 80% overall efficiency. The units will operate on a very large range for throttle adjustments with near constant torque to achieve the desired power output.
The most basic GreenBox unit will be the cheapest - at about 20 times less than current fossil fuels plants. This enables the nGeni to reach all areas of the globe. They are intended to reach at least 80% of the global population.
The most sophisticated GreenBox units will offer the full range of energy requirements, including electricity, high temperature for uses such as: cooking, air conditioning, hot water, refrigeration and freezing.
nGeni GreenBoxes will eventually all be completely solar and will have nS.O.™ for real time management and communication.
